Looking back at the early development journey of our company, it is closely intertwined with Taiwan's economic growth, ranging from infrastructure construction and the development of power resources to public projects and elevating the overall industry standards. 1955 - Shihlin Electric was founded by Mr. Chin-Te Hsu.
1963 - Collaboration in technology with Mitsubishi Electric Japan.
1966 - Manufactured 69kV class power transformer.
- Automobile & motorcycle parts plant was established.
1969 - Listed on the public securities exchange.
- Switchgear Panel Plant was established.
1972 - Current / Voltage transformer plant was established.
1973 - Breaker & switch plant was established.
1979 - Manufactured 161kV class Power Transformer.
1984 - Factory Automation plant was established.
1988 - Cast resin transformer plant was established.
1990 - Mrs. Suzanne Hsu succeeded Mr. C.T Hsu as the Chairman.
1994 - Automobile & Motorcycle parts plant was established in Vietnam.
- Obtained ISO90001 certificate.
1995 - Automobile parts plant was established in Chang-Zhou, China.
- Breaker & Switch plant was established in Xia-Men, China.
1997 - The completion of headquarters building.
1998 - Obtained ISO14001 Certificate.
1999 - Mr. Emmet Hsu succeeded Mrs. Suzanne Hsu as the Chairman.
- System engineering & optoelectronics division was established.
- Digital products sales division was established.
2000 - Manufactured 345kV class power transformer.
2001 - Capacitor plant was established in Su-Zhou, China.
- Automobile plant was established in Wu-Xi, China.
- Automobile Plant was established in Fu-Zhou, China.
2002 - 345kV, 650MVA Power Transformer was in service.
- Global R&D center for FA products was established in Taiwan and China.
2003 - 161kV SF6 transformer, GIS, 24kV CRTR & Panel was applied in Taipei 101.
2004 - Oil immersed distribution transformer plant was established in Vietnam.
2007 - Obtained OHSAS 18001 certificate.
- Obtained KEMA, SCB10-GB certificate for cast resin transformers.
2008 - 345kV, 717MVA transformer was in service.
- Shihlin Electric USA Ltd. was established.
2009 - Shihlin Electric AUS PTY Ltd. was established.
2010 - Breaker & Switch plant (JV with Mitsubishi Electric) was established in Xia-Men, China.
2013 - Changzhou Shihlin Mitsuba Electric & Engineering Co. Ltd. was established.
2015 - New plant for Factory Automation was established in Suzhou, China.
